How we met
Aaron and I met while working together at our part time job. We became great friends and we all know where that led us! We have been together for about 5 ½ years. In 2016, Aaron bought a house in Byron, MN. I moved in with him and it has since become our home. In February, we planned a trip to Colorado to do some hiking and site seeing. Little did I know Aaron had a whole lot more planned!

Our Engagement Story – On March 11, 2017, Aaron and I went to Hanging Lake Trail near Glenwood Springs, Colorado for a day of hiking. I knew I was in for an interesting day because my asthma and high altitude do not mix well! We began our hike and I remember saying “well this isn’t bad at all!” I spoke too soon. Pretty soon we were hiking a trail up through the mountain. It was beyond beautiful! Of course my asthma was a pain but the views were amazing! The closer we got to the top the more ice and snow we noticed (at the bottom of the trail it was sunny and 75 degrees). We watched people falling as they were coming down from the top and I told Aaron the falling didn’t look worth going all the way to the top… boy was I wrong!!

After a long hike up we finally reached Hanging Lake which the view alone was every bit worth it! We took many pictures and made our way around the small lake to sit down and take it all in. Aaron grabbed his backpack and asked if I would like a granola bar. I wasn’t really paying attention and was taking pictures of everything I said yes along with I cannot believe how beautiful this place is. I heard Aaron say “It’s a beautiful place with a beautiful woman and perfect to do this..” I just sat there in complete shock as he said the words “Will you marry me”. The smiles on our faces said it all! We were both so happy and you could tell Aaron was less anxious the rest of the trip! Of course on the way down I fell on the glare ice a few times and ended up with a black and blue hip, but this was the most amazing day of my life so far and it makes up for any of the falls I had.

Q: Do we have to do the traditional formal pictures?
A: No, absolutely not! Our style is genuine, and that is what makes us different. Though formals are nice, it is the shots with raw emotion, the ones we get when our couples don't know we are photographing them, that people fall in love with.
Q: Do I really have to wait 4 weeks to get my images after my wedding day? 1 month seems a bit long….
A: We say that to allow cushion just in case of emergencies. In most cases, you will receive your images in less than 4 weeks.
